DEVOTED WORKERS OF ROL CHURCHES TAKING IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF SERVING GOD

By: Jonah

In the dusk of February 3, 2018, River of Life Churches’ workers gathered at River of Life Mahayhay.

The said event was established by a solemn praise and worship that lasted for an hour of connecting and praising God together as His workers.

Pastor Jeffrey Datangel began the program by elaborating the purpose and the agenda of the said event.

Pastor Jerbis Manonson shared his life testimony of how God was always in control of his life and how he was called into being a pastor, a faithful worker of God.

“The scriptures also say, “The Lord knows that the plans made by wise people are useless.”(1 Corinthians 3:20)” Pastor Manonson says.
The workers were awakened and motivated by Pastor Arcon Sanchez’s Four Words Challenge namely; Prayer, Leadership, Church and Community.

“God elevates your life,” says Pastor Sanchez.

Pastor August Dimajutoc encouraged the workers to intercede and pinpointed the importance of intercession. Intercession is the act of interceding. To try to help settle an argument or disagreement between two or more people or groups.

“First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them. Pray for king and others in power, so that we may live quiet and peaceful lives as we worship and honor God. This kind of prayer is good, and it pleases God our savior.” (1 Timothy 2: 1-3)

“Mamuhay ng tahimik, manalangin, mag-intercede at magpasalamat. Matuto tayong hindi lang basta manalangin kung hindi mag-intercede tayo sa iba,” says Pastor Dimajutoc.

Pastor Christopher Gado enlightened the workers of the importance of fasting among God’s followers and how fasting will help you know your purpose.

“The Lord hears our prayers when we are sincere to our fasting,” says Pastor Gado.

Pastor Datangel encouraged the workers to fast, followed by Pastor Gado’s tutorial and tips on fasting.

Afterwards, everyone was assigned to look for their prayer partners in the group and prayed for each other. A closing prayer wrapped the whole program and the workers enjoyed a delicious meal from the workers of ROL Mahayhay and a hearty laugh from the presence of each other as they took home the books from Pastor Doug and knowledge from the gathering.
