WORSHIP IN THE THRONEROOM SEMINAR

Cainta, Philippines – Worship Team of River of Life churches gathers for a conference entitled “Worship in the Throne Room” last April 28, 2018.

The speaker of the said event is Pastor Henry Santos. He is a missionary worship music pastor, a choir director, a singer-songwriter, and an event’s organizer who has done preaching, teaching and singing on worship and music ministries in the Philippines, Asia, USA and Canada.

The seminar-conference was divided into 4 sessions. But prior to that, it was started with a solemn praise & worship led by Dra. Joanne Datangel-Gallardo. Then, a short opening remark was delivered by Pastor Jeffrey Datangel.

Pastor Henry started his first session which tackled about the theology of worship. His teachings were all based on John 4, 2 Chronicles 5 and Revelation 4. Then, an excitement to the participants begins to rise-up as he started with the band and choir workshop. Each worship team was challenge to present a praise song number. After each presentation, a comment and suggestions was given for improvement.

After the workshop, a lunch which was prepared by Eleonor Datangel, was serve to the  attendees. Everyone enjoyed the lunch as well as the fellowship.

Then, seminar proceeded to next session which is the scripture songwriting. Two levels were given to each participant – first, everyone was assigned one chapter in psalms and was challenge to give music to that chapter. The second one is to create a lyrics and music out of John 4. Each participant was given an opportunity to present the songs that they have composed for the Lord.

The last part of the seminar is the Musikapihan. In this session, each ROL worship team was challenge to present a different form of arts other than songs/ band presentation. ROL Batasin presented a spoken word and ROL Dividend & ROL Cainta presented a dance number. Then the seminar was ended with a challenge to continue to exercise the worship using different form of arts.

This seminar was attended by 31 participants.
